Research Analyst – Drug Delivery/Pharmaceuticals

Technology Catalysts International (TCI) is a multinational consulting firm looking for a highly qualified individual with a science background and strong analytical and critical thinking, technical writing, oral communication, and research skills for the Research Analyst position in our Drug Delivery/Pharmaceuticals Department.

TCI’s areas of expertise include technology assessments, business intelligence, establishing technology licensing opportunities, and identifying and understanding drug delivery market trends. The Drug Delivery/Pharmaceuticals department specializes in identifying and assessing novel and emerging drug delivery technologies. The ideal candidate should be a high-energy, strategic thinker who will build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers to heighten the impact of research findings.

This is a full-time desk research position, no laboratory work involved.

In this role, you will:

  • Retrieve, analyze, and interpret research information regarding client-submitted inquiries
  • Participate in high-level, customized consulting projects for pharmaceutical clients
  • Conduct primary and secondary research on the pharmaceutical and drug delivery industries
  • Monitor licensing agreements, collaborations, and mergers & acquisitions in the drug delivery industry
  • Conduct primary interviews with TCI contacts, industry experts, and key opinion leaders to gather information for client reports and gain insight into overall market trends
  • Some travel required (15-20% travel)

The salary for this position is between $36,000 and $45,000 based on the applicant’s qualifications.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degrees in biological, physical, or chemical sciences, engineering, or related degree, excluding social sciences (Master's degree preferred)
  • 0-5 years of relevant work experience; pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus
  • Proficient technical writing skills
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize among multiple projects and responsibilities
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Strong skills in MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word

Research Analyst – Consumer Care

Technology Catalysts International (TCI) is a multinational consulting firm looking for a highly qualified individual with a science background and strong analytical and critical thinking, technical writing, oral communication, and research skills for the Research Analyst position in our Consumer  Care department.

Research Analysts for the Consumer Care department are responsible for participating in high‐level, customized consulting projects for multinational clients in areas, including but not limited to, over-the-counter/non-prescription drugs, innovative packaging, food and nutrition, and personal care.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform desktop research to obtain, analyze, and interpret market data, information regarding innovative technologies/products, and business intelligence
  • Identify opportunities for our clients to help innovate their business and brand lines
  • Obtain information regarding a company’s technologies/products via phone, email, and/or in-person interviews at conferences
  • Obtain information for potential licensing agreements and/or collaboration interest
  • Perform supporting research based on our client’s needs/concerns about the industry/technologies/API bioavailability, etc.
  • Source technology-based solutions pertaining to our client’s needs/concerns
  • Compile reports based on findings in order to provide our clients with information on sourced opportunities for new innovation and assessment

TCI’s Research Analysts perform patent, web, and internal and external database searches as well as telephone and in‐person interviews to obtain information requested by our clients. A large amount of desktop research and writing is involved with this position. This job does not entail laboratory bench work.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 0‐5 years of relevant work experience; pharmaceutical and consumer industry, technology transfer or licensing/patent experience is a plus
  • B.S. or M.S. in biological, physical, or chemical sciences, engineering, or related degree
  • Proficient technical writing skillsst Lorem ipsum
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple ongoing client projects and deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively with department team members to write reports

Technical Writer – Part Time

Technology Catalysts International (TCI) is a multinational consulting firm looking for a highly qualified individual with a science background and strong analytical and critical thinking, technical writing, oral communication, and research skills for a part-time Technical Writer position within the company.

TCI’s areas of expertise include technology assessments, business intelligence, establishing technology licensing opportunities, and identifying and understanding market trends in the pharmaceutical and consumer care industries.  The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated technical writer that can produce a written report on a specific product, market, or therapeutic area.

This is a part-time desk research position, no laboratory work is involved.

In this role, you will:

  • Retrieve, analyze, and interpret research information in a specific product, market, or therapeutic area
  • Conduct primary and secondary research on specific areas in the pharmaceutical, drug delivery, and/or consumer care industries
  • Write technical business reviews on areas identified as hot topics

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience; pharmaceutical or consumer care industry experience is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in biological, physical, or chemical sciences, engineering, or related degree is required (excluding social sciences); Master’s degree or Ph.D preferred
  • Proficient technical writing skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong editing/proofreading skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and coordinate with different departments
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office
