Technology Catalysts International has a strong background in structural ceramics, ceramic composites, and electronic substrate materials. Electro-discharge machineable ceramic composites are used for industrial tooling, such as high temperature cutting tools, extrusion and drawing dies, and wear parts. The properties of the ceramic also allow other applications, in particular applications which have intricate shapes. Nanoscale ceramic particles are used to make high performance ceramic materials for microelectronics, biotechnology and engineering applications.

Ceramics applications studied by TCI include capacitors, substrate materials, piezoelectrics, wear parts, tools and dies, silicon carbide whiskers for composites, ceramic membranes.
